We always have stretch marks/wounds in our knee each time we do our gardening stuff. For planting flowers or plants, sometime we need to bend our knees to the soil and it could force our knee to be dirty and have black marks after several occasions.

Maybe some of you have used this tool but for those who haven’t, try to use this simple and not expensive “garden kneeler seat”. It has a neoprene rubber pad that allows user’s knees to be protected and it also can be used as a comfortable seat as it can be turned upside down.

Other advantage, extremely light and easy to move around, but still provide firm grip for posing your knee or for sitting. It is also water proof and washable and with only 17-20 £ you can use it for many years.

Summer Discount

The sales of DIY products in the UK have increased since the summer time is approaching.  According to the British Retail Consortium (BRC), the sector has shown an increased of 0,8% last month compared to the previous year.

Due to summer discounts for DIY tools, people are attracted to make their shopping for decorating their homes. This is one of the reason for the increase. The warm weather is also a factor that allows people to think more about doing gardening or remodeling their houses during day time.

The BRC’s Director-general Stephen Robertson said: “the warmer weather combined with discount and promotion encouraged spending on clothing, footwear, outdoor DIY and gardening”

World Cup effects

According to the deputy director of Build It magazine Anna-Marie DeSouza, the upcoming FIFA World Cup in South Africa is also predicted to be a factor for this increase. Football is an important part for almost every british. An event as big as the world cup is the pentacle for everybody to enjoy summer while watching their own favourite team battling in the green pitch. With the World Cup approaching, it urges them to finish their “home improvement projects” before organizing a football match gathering with friends and families in their sitting room or in the garden.

The first match for England is in the 12th June 2010 againts United States.
